The Mustang Mach-E Girls Club is Redefining Girl Power

The Mustang Mach-E Girls Club is redefining what it means to be a car enthusiast, especially for women who are passionate about electric vehicles (EVs). Founded by Ashlea Wooten-Chapple, the club has quickly grown into an international community that celebrates the unique experiences and perspectives of female Mustang Mach-E owners.

Ashlea’s love for Mustang cars runs deep, a passion inherited from her father, who adored his ’69 GT so much that he had his initials embroidered on the seats. This familial connection to the Mustang brand stayed with her, but practicality dictated her choice when it came time to buy a new vehicle for her family. She needed something with more space, leading her to initially overlook Mustangs.

However, a chance encounter with the sleek design and ample storage of a Mustang Mach-E SUV reignited her enthusiasm. The car’s clean lines and the iconic Mustang badge captivated her, and she quickly decided to purchase one. Reflecting on this decision, Ashlea often thinks about how thrilled her father would be to see her join the Mustang family.

After her first exhilarating day driving the Mach-E, Ashlea turned to online communities to find like-minded women who shared her excitement. She remembered the special bond she had with her father, working on cars together in the garage. To her surprise, she found a significant gap—there were no online spaces specifically for women who owned the electric Mustang.

Recognizing a need for a community where women could share their experiences and knowledge without fear of judgment, Ashlea took the initiative to create the Mustang Mach-E Girls Club. What began as a simple idea has flourished into a thriving organization with over 2,500 members worldwide.

The club’s success is a testament to the power of community and shared passion. Victoria Huerta, one of the club’s earliest members, embodies this spirit. She expressed her excitement about owning a Mustang again with the Mach-E, noting that it surpassed her expectations and even rivaled her previous love for the Model X.

The club’s Facebook group serves as the primary hub for members, thanks to Victoria’s excellent moderation skills. She ensures that the vast amount of shared information is accessible and well-organized, making the group an invaluable resource for all members.

More than just a forum for questions, the Mustang Mach-E Girls Club has become a supportive and welcoming community. Members share photos, stories, road trip and charging experiences, and other insights from their ownership journey. Wrenching enthusiasts like Sophie Dower contribute valuable information on mechanics and aftermarket parts, further enriching the community.

Sophie, a self-proclaimed car nerd, found the club to be a refreshing change from the typically male-dominated car community. She expressed her joy in discovering a group of women who share her passion for the Mach-E, highlighting the importance of having a space where women can connect and support each other.

The Mustang Mach-E Girls Club is not just an online community. It is expanding into regional chapters, organizing in-person events like Cars and Coffee and track days. This growth allows members to build even stronger connections and share their love for the Mustang Mach-E in new and exciting ways.

The club continues to welcome new members, offering numerous online and in-person events throughout the year. For women who own or are interested in the Mustang Mach-E, the club provides a unique and supportive environment to learn, share, and celebrate their passion.
