Ford Unveils New Bronco Appearance Package During Solar Eclipse

Ford unveiled the 2024 Bronco Raptor Black Appearance Package on Monday this week in front of fans and enthusiasts at the Bronco Off-Roadeo in Texas against a strikingly dark sky brought on by the much-anticipated solar eclipse. This new style package adds a dark new style to the Bronco Raptor’s go-over-any-terrain capability, combining Shadow and Matte Black exterior features.

The Black Appearance Package includes a striking Shadow Black painted roof with matching mirror caps, a painted roll bar, and fender flares, creating a standout contrast with the rest of the Raptor’s eye-catching paint catalog. A skid plate, tow hooks, and a steel bumper all in Matte Black also emphasize this powerful look. 

Some Bronco Raptor customers have been painting their skid plates, which inspired Ford’s designers to include the detail in the new Bronco Raptor Black Appearance Package. The Shadow Black roll bar is also a clever nod on the part of the designers, bearing a resemblance to the contrasting roll bar on the sixth-generation concept Bronco SUVs.

“Customers choose Bronco Raptor for two reasons: its high-performance off-road capability and its distinctive appearance,” said Bronco Brand Manager Jason Hyde. “The Black Appearance gives them a look that stands out on any trail and under any sky, even a total solar eclipse.” 

The new Bronco Raptor Black Appearance Package, which succeeds last year’s vivid Code Orange package, will be available to customers at the end of this April and will include exclusive Raptor body-side and hood decals in addition to its other features.
