Ford Supports Los Angeles County Wildfire Relief

In response to the devastating wildfires in Los Angeles County, Ford and its network of dealers across 13 western states stepped up to provide essential support to affected communities and first responders. Together, Ford dealers and Ford Philanthropy have contributed $465,000 to local organizations aiding in wildfire relief, including the Los Angeles Fire Department Foundation. This initiative is part of Ford’s long-standing commitment to disaster relief, reinforcing its role in helping communities recover during crises.
Ford has a well-established history of supporting disaster relief efforts across the United States. Since 2020, Ford Philanthropy has donated $8 million to disaster response initiatives, working closely with organizations that provide immediate aid to those in need. This ongoing commitment ensures that affected families and first responders receive essential assistance when disaster strikes.
Helping Ford Customers Get Back on the Road
Recovering from a natural disaster comes with plenty of challenges, and Ford is making sure its customers have one less thing to worry about. For those impacted by the wildfires, Ford Credit is offering deferred payment options, giving them extra time to manage expenses. If a new vehicle is needed, affected customers can also take advantage of employee pricing (A-plan), helping make the process of getting back on the road as smooth and affordable as possible.
For electric vehicle owners in FEMA-designated disaster areas, Ford is stepping in to ensure they have access to charging. The company is covering the cost of all public charging sessions through the BlueOval™ Charge Network from January 7 to 31, 2025. Ford is also providing free fast-charging adapters to Mach-E and Lightning owners, giving them access to Tesla Superchargers if their usual charging setup isn’t available. Plus, for customers who lost their homes and charging equipment through Ford Power Promise, Ford will replace their home charger and cover the cost of a standard installation.
Ford employees are also getting involved, with the company offering paid time off to those who volunteer in wildfire-affected areas. It’s a hands-on way to make a difference, and many Ford team members are eager to help.
Partnering with Disaster Relief Organizations
Ford’s contributions go beyond financial support, as the company collaborates with national and local disaster relief organizations actively working on the ground. Team Rubicon, a veteran-led humanitarian group, is partnering with the Port of Los Angeles to ensure long-term supply availability for impacted communities. The American Red Cross is providing shelter and essential items to evacuees, while Feeding America and World Central Kitchen are delivering meals and food supplies to those in need. These partnerships ensure that affected residents receive critical assistance, from housing to nourishment, during this difficult time.
