Ford Ranger Named North American Truck of the Year

For the fifth consecutive year, a Ford truck has won the coveted title of 2025 North American Truck of the Year, and this time it’s the Ford Ranger. This remarkable accomplishment highlights Ford’s ongoing dominance, skill, and creativity in the truck market.
“Earning this recognition celebrates our team’s dedication to continuously raising the bar for midsize truck customers,” said Jim Baumbick, vice president, Advanced Product Development, Cycle Plan, and Programs. “We rigorously tested Ranger in challenging environments around the world to deliver the Built Ford Tough durability our customers demand. This award is a tribute to our customers who inspire us every day.”
Vehicles must be brand-new or significantly changed for the year in order to qualify for North American Truck of the Year. Fifty automotive journalists from various print, broadcast, and digital sources in the US and Canada make up the independent jury. They select a winner based on factors like innovation, design, safety, performance, technology, user experience, driver satisfaction, and value.
The 2024 Ford Ranger is the most capable and connected Ranger ever, thanks to the Built Ford Tough principles it was built on. This year’s Ranger has undergone extensive testing throughout the world, from the Australian outback to American roads, and has demonstrated its ability to handle nearly any adventure on six continents. The Ford Ranger was the top-selling car in Australia this year and in New Zealand for the tenth consecutive year. This victory honors the Ranger’s remarkable blend of cutting-edge technology, impressive durability, and smart features that improve off-road and on-road experiences.
The Ranger has a new 2.7-liter EcoBoost V6 this year, along with improved suspension and enhanced off-road capability. In addition to better bed access, available Zone Lighting, over-the-air updates, and a new interior featuring digital gauge clusters, large touch screens, wireless charging, and fold-flat rear seats for increased storage, the 2024 Ranger boasts more available towing technology than any previous Ranger, including class-exclusive Pro Trailer Backup Assist. In line with Ford’s tradition of creating trucks that are as resilient and strong as the people who drive them and build them, the Ranger and Ranger Raptor are proudly assembled in America at the automaker’s Michigan Assembly Plant.
For Ford Motor Company, the Ranger, and the amazing team behind the Ranger, this honor is continuing proof of the power of great trucks and unstoppable quality! If you’re interested in learning more about the Ranger, you can check out our inventory here at Keller Brothers Ford!
