Ford Mobile Service Options Help Drivers Reclaim Their Time

Having regular services performed on your car is just a fact of life when you’re a driver and a vehicle owner, but for many people today, busy schedules and high daily demands mean that there simply aren’t enough hours in the day to carve out time for an appointment. Rather than continue to create an environment where people have to choose between wasting precious time and driving unsafe, unserviced cars, Ford Motor Company stepped up to create a convenient third option: mobile service!
Using Ford and Lincoln’s mobile service options has become an invaluable option for millions of vehicle owners, allowing them to continue to go about their workday or daily home tasks while technicians drive to them with all of the supplies they need, service their vehicle, and leave when the task is completed. Some mobile service options can even include picking a customer’s car up, taking it back to the service center to be worked on, and returning it at a later date!
“We want to return to our customers the most valuable commodity in modern life – time,” said Elena Ford, Chief Dealer Engagement Officer. “Service appointments should be as simple as booking an appointment with your phone. They should not interrupt a customer’s day.”
“I work from home and for me to come into the dealership to take it into service in the morning is a pain,” said Kathy Livengood, a customer from Virginia. “For them to come to my house and be gone in 15 minutes, they were rockstars. My husband and I are extremely thankful because this was awesome.”
Chris Poulos, Lincoln Retailer Chair, noted that services like Pickup & Delivery– which Lincoln was the first to offer at scale– have become crucial for luxury customers. “Client expectations have risen over the years, especially in the luxury space,” he said. “We must continue to build on services and experiences to meet our clients on their terms.”
Ninety percent of customers indicate once they use a mobile service option once, they want to use it again in the future, according to Dave Wilson, president of Preston Ford. He also reports that commercial customers, even those with fleets of 30 vehicles or more, show similar results in terms of satisfaction with the service.
Ford customers can easily schedule Pickup & Delivery appointments through the FordPass app, which also helps them to stay informed and connected during the entire service process.
