Ford Offers Unique Eclipse Experience

The upcoming total solar eclipse in the area of Austin, Texas is drawing huge crowds, and hotel rooms in the vicinity are almost entirely sold out. For those who don’t mind roughing it a little and who love their Ford vehicles, the automaker is offering a unique opportunity to experience the eclipse on April 8th!

Bronco and Bronco Sport customers will be able to join their peers in Texas’ Hill Country at the Bronco Off-Roadeo to view the eclipse from one of the best geographical locations to see it, according to USA Today.

A total solar eclipse is visible over a large area of space– in this case, within a 115-mile-wide band stretching from central Mexico to eastern Canada. Outside of this area, the eclipse may still be visible as a partial eclipse instead of a total one. Where you are in the eclipse’s path of totality dictates how long you’ll be able to see it. The Bronco Off-Roadeo’s location in Texas will get to watch the eclipse for over four minutes, one of the longest stretches of times in the U.S.

The Bronco Off-Roadeo in Texas is an experience to be had in and of itself! This one-day workshop is included with all Bronco, Bronco Sport, and Bronco Raptor purchases, and includes thrilling and challenging trails to traverse, a team of expert trail guides to provide knowledge and advice, and a good time that also helps drivers learn how to get the most out of their Bronco. A Half-Day Adventure is also available to the public as a four-hour paid off-road quest with trail guide instruction. All skill levels are welcome to join, and the program also has locations in Las Vegas, Nevada, Moab, Utah and New Hampshire.

Viewing the eclipse as part of the Bronco Off-Roadeo is an exclusive event, and Bronco customers can sign up through Bronco Nation, reserving either a two-night camping reservation or a day-of pass.

The two-night camping experience costs $1,995 and will include five meals. Only 60 spots are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Two-night campers will be able to avoid traffic in the area the day before and day of the eclipse. Customers are responsible for bringing their own camping shelter and sleeping accommodations. The day-of reservation costs $595 per vehicle for up to four people, and will include two meals.
