60th Anniversary Mustang Now Available in Brittany Blue

The Ford Mustang is one of the most famous and iconic vehicles on the road today, and the celebrations for its 60th anniversary have been legendary! One of the most recent parts of the memorable year has been the release of a limited-edition Mustang 60th Anniversary package in a special color, classic Brittany Blue, first offered in 1967.

Only 1,965 total vehicles are being produced of the Ford Mustang 60th Anniversary Package, an homage to 1965 being the first model year of the car. Brittany Blue is now joining several other iconic small batch colors being offered for this anniversary Mustang, including Wimbledon White, Race Red, and Vapor Blue.

“Mustang has thrived for 60 years by taking risks and giving customers something a little bit different, a little bit more special than you’d get elsewhere,” said Joe Bellino, Mustang brand manager. “By dropping a color like this, we’re giving customers a chance to stand out even among the rarefied ranks of Mustang 60th Anniversary owners.”

The 60th anniversary Brittany Blue Mustang is only being produced with the Fastback body and 10-speed automatic transmissions. The vehicle also includes the 401A package, Active-Valve Performance Exhaust, Brembo brakes, 3.55 limited-slip rear axle, 12-speaker B&O sound system, and Space Gray upholstery. It features exclusive 60th Anniversary badges on the fenders and trunk lid, designed to be a modern take on the 1965 Mustang cloisonné badges, and exclusive side graphics in either Iconic Silver or Vermillion Red that are reminiscent of Mustang’s original rocker panel stripes. A new grille with a unique mesh design gives a nod to the original 1964 model, as do silver mirror caps on the Race Red, Vapor Blue, and Brittany Blue versions to call back the chrome mirrors of classic Mustangs.

Ford is also releasing a new digital instrument cluster design inspired by the 1999 to 2001 Mustang SVT Cobra for the 60th anniversary of the Mustang, with classic white dials by day and icy blue backlights for the cluster details at night.

The Brittany Blue Mustang will be on display for customers and fans to see in person at Ford’s Mustang Alley Display at the 2024 Woodward Dream Cruise in Ferndale, Michigan.
