2023 Rebelle Rally: Ford Sponsors Five Teams for Upcoming Event

Crossing the challenging terrain of Nevada and California isn’t as simple as having a great driver or a great vehicle. You need to have both of those things working together, plus the skill of an expert navigator and the drive to win. In the upcoming Rebelle Rally, the five teams sponsored by Ford Motor Company will need to bring their A-game with them in order to display these qualities and bring home the prestigious titles that are up for grabs.

This is Ford’s first year as an official sponsor for the event, and with their teams driving Broncos, Bronco Sports, and the all-electric Mustang Mach-E Rally, the stakes are high. The Rebelle Rally is the first women’s off-road navigation rally raid in the U.S., meaning that it’s an important event for the teams as well, and a grueling one.

Each team is made up of a driver, a navigator, and a vehicle, with no support crew, no GPS, and no cell phone use allowed. The competitors camp at night and spend the days making their way over the 1,500 mile-long course, starting at Mammoth Mountain and ending in the Imperial Sand Dunes in Southern California. The trip will take from October 12th to October 21st.

Ford’s five teams this year are made up of some amazing names in the sport. One Bronco Raptor will be driven by multi-time Baja 1000 class champion Shelby Hall and five-time Rebelle Rally Competitor Rori Lewis, while Rebelle U instructor Laura Wanlass and previous Rebelle competitor Maria Guitar will handle another one. Jessica Moore and Melissa Clarke, both Bronco Off-Roadeo trail guides, will be competing in a Bronco Sport, while the Bronco WildTrak will be driven by 2022 Rebelle Rally Cross rookies Karisa Haydon and Trista Smith. The Mustang Mach-E Rally team will be previous Rebelle Rally winner Kaleigh Miller and King of the Hammers groundbreaker Bailey Campbell.

With prestigious competitors like these and amazing Ford vehicles on the trail, the 2023 Rebelle Rally is sure to be an event that’s not to be missed.
