Don't Wait Until It's Too Late: A Few Signs of Problems with Your Gas Pump

Don't find yourself stranded somewhere. Instead, be aware of some of the major signs that you are having problems with your fuel pump, the part of your vehicle that transports gasoline to your engine.

One of the most obvious warning signs that your fuel pump is going is if your engine begins to sputter when you are going at fast speeds, or if it has difficulties making it up a hill. Another warning sign is if it surges forward with extra speed at odd times. If you are also noticing a decrease in your fuel efficiency, you might have a problem with your vehicle's ability to regulate the amount of gasoline being sent to the engine. Eventually, if you continue to ignore these warning signs, you might find that your vehicle will not start.

If you are seeing any of these warning signs, bring your vehicle to our service center at Keller Bros. Ford Lititz in Lititz, PA, and we'll be happy to diagnose the problem and replace any faulty parts.
