Updated 2018 F-150 Brings More Power, Style, and First-Ever Diesel

Even though Ford's EcoBoost engines are just as capable as a diesel at creating high torque and efficiency, some drivers will never be satiated with the sound of a turbocharger. Not when they long for the click-and-clatter of a diesel engine.

Diesel loyalists are in luck next year. For the first time in the F-150's over-30-year history, it will be available as a diesel.

The 3.0-liter Power Stroke® Diesel engine is coming in the spring of 2018, for the 2018 F-150. And that's not the only change truck customers have to look forward to. The updated model will feature a new, more powerful base engine to replace its old 3.5-liter V6, and more powerful versions of the 2.7-liter EcoBoost and 5.0-liter V8—both of which now provide 400 pound-feet of torque.

New grille styles are the pretty bow topping the package. Customize your 2018 F-150 with body-color grille bars, sporty black mesh grille, or chrome.
